How we work

If you think that counselling could help you, or you would like more information about The Haven, please phone. You may need to leave a message. All messages are accessed daily by our management team. Please leave your name and telephone number clearly and we will return your call.

In response to your request for counselling, we will send you a registration form. The information you provide on this form is strictly confidential. New clients are asked to pay a one off registration fee of £15. This helps to cover the administration costs and the initial assessment session.

The assessment meeting will last for 50 minutes and you will be seen by one of the centre managers. There will be an opportunity for you to ask questions you may have about counselling/therapy and for us to find out what your needs might be.

If you decide to go ahead with counselling, we will match you with one of our counsellors who can best meet your needs.

We understand that for some people private counselling is not financially possible. (Private counselling may cost up to £50 per session). We ask you at assessment to consider what you will give per session, dependant upon your income. If you are a tax payer please consider Gift Aiding your donation.
